![]() ![]() During the day, she worked on her novel, while at night, she worked as a waitress. One summer she couldn’t resist any longer and decided to give writing a complete novel a go. That was in 1993.ĭuring this time, Lisa hadn’t just been studying international relations, but had been thinking about her passion for writing. Lisa graduated from Penn, as it is commonly known, magna cum laude from with a degree in international relations (magna cum laude is a term that some American educational institutions use to mean that a student graduated with the exceptional grades). There, Lisa attended Glencoe High School, which is a public secondary school and has a modest student body of around 1500.Īfter graduating from high school, Lisa enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, which is a private Ivy League research university located in Philadelphia, one of the biggest cities in the US, with an estimated six million people in the metro area. Lisa was born and raised in Hillsboro, a city with a population of around 100,000 people in Oregon, which is a state way out on the West coast of the United States of America, above California, just one state below from the Canadian border. ![]() The year is an educated guess based on how old she was when she sold her first book.
